<p>The antioxidant mixts. are based on p,p'-dioctyl diphenylamine and substd. naphthylamines of formula (where R is 4-20C alkyl or nitro, R1 is H or phenylazo; z is 0, 1 or 2, y is 0 or 1 and x + y is >=1). Each component is present in the lubricant in an amount of 0.001-5 wt.%. The antioxidants are suitable for addn. to mineral or synthetic oils, esp. ester-based oils and give improved resistance to heat as measured by changes in viscosity and neutralisation value with reduced corrosion of metals.</p> |
