PURPOSE:To provide the title mold opening device which enables the accurate control of the stop position of a movable platen, and the easy and fast mold change and centering operations. CONSTITUTION:Each of the male and the female mold 4, 4 is slided on the surface of the stationary platen 2 or the movable platen 3 to the approximately correct position. To perform the centering of the molds 4, 4, the molds must be closed leaving a gap of about 5 mm between them. It can be achieved by the use of a means for setting the stop position of the movable platen 3, which comprises a hydraulic cylinder 10 mounted to the backside of the stationary platen 2 and a rod 11 which can be thrusted by said hydraulic means and projected its end beyond the face of said platen, and a thrust rod 13 secured to the movable platen 3 and provided with a box nut 15 at its end and a pair of fastening nuts 14. The length of the thrust rod 13 (L) is roughly adjusted by the fastening nuts 14, and precisely adjusted by screwing or unscrewing the box nut 15. |
