PURPOSE:To make access time higher in speed without reducing storage contents by mounting plural magnetic discs by sandwiching these with flanges and mounting one end of a stationary head assembly to a bearing and the other end to a stationary part thereby making the same exchangeable. CONSTITUTION:Four discs 2 are fixed about a spindle 3 by means of three flanges 4 and a flange retainer 5. The flanges 4 are rotatable by a rolling bearing 4a and a munting shaft 4b. The mounting shaft 4b fixes and supports the head block base 7 and head block 8 of a stationary head assembly 6 to the optimum position to the memory face 2a of the magnetic discs 2. When the drive motor of the main unit of the disc apparatus is connected to the motor connecting part 3a of the spindle 3, the spindle 3, flanges 4 and magnetic discs 2 become rotatable and by connecting and fixing a connector 10 positioned on the outermost circumference of the head lock base 7 to a case 10, the spindle 3, flanges 4 and magnetic discs 2 may be independently operated. |
