The clamping device serves to clamp large parts by means of simple clamping elements obtainable on the market. The device comprises a rail (1), which can be loaded in tension and has a fixed counterpressure element formed from the rail, and a movable bearing plate (2). A part (T) to be clamped can be held between the bearing plate (2) and a displaceable and lockable pressure element (3). A clamping tool (4) in the form of a single-arm lever resting on the bearing plate (2) is supported on the counterpressure element. The clamping device is intended to dispense with the need for the craftsman to have a set of large screw clamps. <IMAGE>
