<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a miniature unit which can clock a long period by simple constitution and perform a complex process by a program, by combining the timer of hardware with that of software. CONSTITUTION:Counter CTR and carry register CR RG as hard ware are both provided, and counter CTR is actuated and stopped by a microprogram. It is made possible to vary the period of clock CLK inputted to counter CTR by a microprogram. Once carry CR is outputted to counter CTR, register CR RG is set, counter CTR continues its count-up operation even during this setting, and the program is informed that register CR RG has been set. The contents of this register CR RG are referred to by the program, thereby making it possible to clock time.</p> |
