The shower spray rose has a rounded external concave face on the discharge side containing a baffle plate struck by the incoming water and directing it against the face. The plate (13) is fixed to the downstream end of a pipe (12) through which the incoming water flows, and in which there are peripheral ports (14) distributing the water over the plate. The pipe can extend from inside the concave face, water entering it either through the top end or via peripheral ports at the top. It can be adjustable in relation to the concave face, so as to vary the distance of the plate from the latter.
