<p>A hydraulic system may be used in a mechanical digger of a fork-lift truck and it has a linkage connected to the chassis of the vehicle. It has a long hydraulic ram (4) at the top and a short ram (5) underneath. A third ram (22) at the top of the assembly is used to tilt the forks (13) on which the load rests. There is an elevating arm (3) with its rear end pivoted on the chassis (1) of the vehicle; it is moved by the first and second rams (4, 5). The supply of oil to the various rams may be modulated to give the desired trajectory to the end of the elevating arm and the forks. The system may be used for loading pallets.</p> |
