<p>Drive unit comprises an electric motor switchable between washing and spinning speeds, planetary gearing with sun gear driven by the motor shaft, at least one planet wheel on a carrier, and an internal gear, and a centrifugal clutch disengaged at washing speed so that the gearing provides speed reduction and engaged at spinning speed when the driven member rotates at motor shaft speed. The internal gear is freely rotatable relative to the motor housing and is slowed by a switch brake held against rotation relative to the housing. The driven member is connected to the carrier in rotation-proof manner. The internal gear is pref. of plastics.</p> |
