The support plate (1) is intended particularly as a coil flange, but can be used also as a connector plate for electric or electronic components. It has a recess, into which is inserted a connecting pin, especially for a soldered connection. The edge formed by the support plate upper surface and the recess for the terminal pin (2-5) is rounded, at least over part of its section so that the connecinty pin abuts a rounded surface (10-15) in the support plate during bending. The edge is preferably rounded in a terminal pin axial direction with reduced bending strength. If a soldering tag is used, the edge parallel to the longer side of the recess rectangular cross section is rounded. If a round pin is used the edge has a peripheral rounded profile.
