<p>As fitted in caravans or other vehicles, or in flat roofs, the window provides light and ventilation, with an overlapping hood resting outside the edge of the opening. The hood (3) is fixed in position on the roof (1). An air intake area (8) between the outside edge and the side of the opening (7) can be closed to prevent air entry or escape, by means of sealing flaps (10). These may be motor-operated or manually operated. Areas for air intake may be provided on all sides, and covered by a close-meshed grid (9). This permits interior ventilation, without affording access to small animals or insects, and without moisture penetration.</p> |
