Circular saw for cutting mitred beam ends - has swinging plate mounting to allow plane of saw rotate about two axes

A pair of power driven circular saws (1, 2) are arranged to mitre the ends of wooden beams or rafters e.g. for door or window frames. The mitred ends can be cut so that they are angled w.r.t. both the horizontal and vertical longitudinal surfaces of the beam. This effect is achieved by mounting each saw and its driving motor on a swinging plate (9) which pivots about a horizontal shaft (10). The plate can be clamped by a bolt (35) in the curved slot (11) of the framework (9). The framework is in turn similarly mounted and can rotate about a vertical axis.
