Stamping long sheet metal segments for mfg. pipe elbows - where one stroke of single punch and die makes four shaped, pierced and beaded segments

The elbows are used for insulating applications, and each is made from four segments with sine-wave contours. A single stamping operation is used to make three sine-shaped cuts in metal strip, thus producing four segments which are simultaneously cut from the strip. Only one punch and die is pref. used, which also produces beads at both ends of the four segments during the single stamping operation; and the latter forms two holes at each end of all four segments. One strip of sheet metal can thus be converted into four segments by each stroke of the punch. Segments can be used to make pipe elbows of different dia.
