PURPOSE:To prevent bridge formation of developer to enable smooth feed, by containing a plurality of magnetic balls in the bottoms of a developer container consisting of a nonmagnetic rotary cylinder and first and second side walls and by agitating these balls with rotary magnets provided in the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Cylinder 12 made of a nonmagnetic material is rotated in the reverse direction to the rotation direction of drum 1 to carry a one component type developer to developing zone D and to visualize a static image formed on photoreceptor 2 of drum 1. Cylinder 12 and side walls 13 and 14 form the container of developer 15, and gaps 13' and 14' between the lower ends of sidewalls 13 and 14 and the surface of cylinder 12 are the ones for carrying out and returning developer 15, respectively. A plurality of magnetic small balls 16 are contained in the bottom of the developer container, and violently agitated with magnets rotating in the reverse direction to cylinder 12, thereby permitting bridge formation of developer 15 to be prevented, the agglomerates to be crashed to powder, and to be supplied to developing zone D. |
