<p>PURPOSE:To recirculate exhaust gas in a combustion chamber by opening an exhaust valve while a suction valve is opened for a specific period, whose each rocker arm comes in contact with a hydraulic piston. CONSTITUTION:Each head of a suction and exhaust valves 5, 8 comes in contact with a rocker arm 3, 7 whose upper face is in contact with piston 11b, 12b. Oil is supplied for the spaces on the pistons through communication pipes 15, 15 having a controller 16 in hand. The controller 16 containes an opening-closing valve 16f, a check valve 16d, a communication hole 16m, a piston 16h, an oil duct 17 communicating with an oil gallery, and an oil return pipe 16k communicating with an oil pan. In normal operation of the controller, the valve 16f functions to close the passed 16a, 16b and in high load, it functions in reverse. In high load suction stroke when the suction valve is opened, the exhaust valve 8 is opened so that exhaust gas can be recirculated.</p> |
