<p>of the disclosure Novel redox diphenoquinone-diphenohydroguinone polymers and derivatives thereof are described. Redox polymers having diphenoquinone/hydroquinone units in the backbone are described. These are prepared by coupling for example 3,3'disubstituted diphenoquinones or 6,6' disubstituted bis-orthophenols. Some or all of the units may be dehydroxylated by hydrogenolysis. The redox polymers are useful as oxidizing and reducing agents, antioxidants, stabilizers in dielectric compositions, semiconductor polymeric ingredients as well as redox ion exchange resins.</p> |
