Synisomers of cephalosporanic acid derivs. of formula (I) are new: (where Ra is H or a 1-4C (un)satd. alkyl, R3 is 1-4C alkylthio or a radical R4-CO-NH- where R4 is 1-4C alkyl; A is H, or one equiv of an alkali or alkaline earth metal, magnesium or an aminated organic base) (I) are antibiotics active against Gram positive and negative bacteria.
