<p>A movable chassis (1) on the edge of the quay has an arm (6, 11) pivoted at each end. Jacks between the chassis and one arm and between the first and second arms cause them to pivot in a vertical plane. The second arm carries a telescopic mast (15) on which is mounted pulleys (17) to support an endless cable or chain (18). The cable is guided through an opening in the hold of the boat and over a member fixed to the bottom of the hold. The cable is driven, guided and tensioned from the chassis to take account of variations in the level of the boat during unloading.</p> |
