The loading ramp allows a vehicle to transfer from the ground level to the floor level of a railway wagon. Each element has two longitudinal members which are light alloy sections which are connected together by cross members and covered by a profiled sheet. The longitudinal members are connected by cross members on the upper surface of the profiled sheet and cross members on the lower surface. The ends of the longitudinal members are chamfered at (4) and a T shaped member forms a hook at the top for connection of the ramp to a wagon.
