The canvas of a folding caravan is tensioned using two centre bow pieces (12, 13) which cover the same volume as the front and rear ones (9, 14). The central pivot (10) allows the frame to fill in the upper part of the body. The front and rear bow pieces (9, 14) are in two equal parts, pivoted in a double central cheek, with a stop which limits the angle of opening 180 deg. The width covered equals the sum of the interior widths of the body and cover.
