Packaging of polypropylene and glass esp. for pharmaceuticals - has liner and cover held by frictional internal ribs

An outer envelope, consisting of a lower section and a removable cover is injection moulded in polypropylene to suit an inner tube of glass which is fixed inside the lower section forms a packaging in which pharmaceutical products in particular, can be stored in isolation, ready for use. The glass tube may be glued to the envelope or may be fastened by frictional contact withinternally projecting, lengthways extending ribs, as is the cover to the lower section. An internal stopper also fastened by ribs or vanes has a cavity into which a does of the liq. in the tube can be poured, without any outside contact being made with it. The packaging is cheap and practical in use and the tube isolates the product from the envelope.
