Laminate composed of outer plastics foils adhesively bonded to a metallic interlayer is mfd. by coating the plastics layers with two component adhesives which are metallised and the plastics layers are then brought into intimate contact for pressing into the laminate using heat. Used for protective clothing, heat and light reflectors. Pref. one plastics layer first coated with a first adhesive (3-1) onto which is deposited a metallic layer using a vaccum deposition process and the metallic layer is then coated with a further adhesive. The so trated plastics layer may be rolled up for intermediate storage or be laminated to a second plastics layer.
