Epidiascope for relief type objects - uses angled illumination and offset projection axis with lens and mirror

The epidiascope for projecting images from relief type subjects has the subject illuminated at a slight angle to the vertical. The image is projected to the main mirror by a lens offset from the axis of a vertical passing through the subject. The subject can be rotated to bring out different aspects of the relief. It can be used to magnify and examine coins, embossed seals and stamps etc. The rotation control is by a single hand control.
