A small distributor installation system comprises an appts. with mounting frames, contact protection covers, shutter or door frames and doors as well as a surface housing and a concealed or buried housing. So as to provide a system based on few and relatively unspecialised discrete parts and thus reduce mfg. costs and installation costs, the same mounting frames, protection covers, shutter frames and doors are used to build different arrangements of the small distributor installation. A surface assembly and a concealed or buried assembly may be used. They are selectively provided with one of the surface housings or concealed (buried) housing belonging to the system.
