There are several swallow tail recesses to allow the strip heaters to be clamped on and to take the mountings to hold it in position round the ironing roller. The design gives a through round the roller which is easily and cheaply made, and which can be fitted with heaters. The curved wall is chromed on the surface facing the ironing roller. There are two recesses for the heaters which are located symmetrically to the mounting recess. The guides edges for the recesses for the heaters are thicker than the cross section of the remainder of the wall material.
