The temple hinge is in two parts, respectively attached to one end of the arm on the inside and to the rear of the front part of the spectacles frame. One part of the hinge comprises a metal disc, while the other part comprises two plastics discs between which this fits, all three having a central hole for locating an axial hinge pin. One of the plastics discs (22) has a tube (27) coaxial with the hole (28) for the pivot pin and having an internal screw thread cooperating with an external thread on the shaft of the pivot pin, to hold the latter in place.
