PURPOSE:To reduce the consumption of toner and facilitate maintenance by automatically conveying the residual toner having been recovered in a cleaning device up to the developer storage vessel of a developing device with a simple constitution thereby permitting its reuse. CONSTITUTION:An outer frame 46 of a concave shape in section is spanned nearly horizontally between a cleaning device 35 and a developing device 10 and an inner frame 50 of a concave shape in section is provided slidably in its longitudinal direction therein. When a photosensitive drum 1 turns counterclockwise and a cam plate 2 contacts a pin 56, the inner frame 50 moves forward in the direction opposite from the arrow C and when the photosensitive drum 1 rotates further and the cam plate 2 disengages from the pin 56, then the inner frame 50 is moved backward in the arrow C direction by a spring 55. By moving the inner frame 50 forward and backward in this way, the residual toner having been recovered in a cleaning device 35 and transferred into the inner frame 50 moves subsequently in the direction of the developing device 10 owing to the action of inertia force and is conveyed in the developer storage vessel. |
