Bridge or track expansion joint cover sealing profile - is locally thickened with end seams on stems fitting against underside in cavities

The sealing profile is esp. for units spanning expansion joints in bridges or roadways. It is made of resilient material, with thickened sections on opposite sides for fixture in open cavities in the joint edges, bearing support faces towards the joint. Each thickened section (2, 3) has a stem piece (5), terminating in a bulge (4), on the sides facing away from the joint gap, the stem being bent back away from the support face (6) when built in. The bulge then fits against the underside of the profile roughly at support face height, or slightly further towards the profile centre. The profiles can be securely attached without additional clamping profiles.
