PURPOSE:To make sealing at the soldering perfect and yet enable firm adhesion force between layers to be obtained by forming metal with films composed of two kinds of metal layers and the specific mingling layer of their intermediate to the circumferential part of a liquid crystal injecting port. CONSTITUTION:First metal 5 such as Cr and second metal 6 such as Au are adjacently formed on one target support base. These are simultaneously sputtered and the sputter particles 7, 8 of the metals 5, 6 are flown simultaneoysly. As a result, the flying regions of the particles 7, 8 cross and the passing liquid crystal cell 10 is sufficiently exposed to said crossing mingled region 9. In this way, the metal thin films consisting of the Cr layer on the cell substrate, the Au layer forming soldering surface and the Cr-Au mingled layer of more than the thickness 1000Angstrom of their intermediate are formed to a thickness of about 1mu or under to the circumference of the liquid crystal injection port of the side face of the cell 10. |
