The parking timing equipment for motor vehicles comprises an electrically controllable time-display unit(3) for electrical connection to a clock(4) and a switch(4), which sets the timing point for the display unit. The display unit is fitted with a visor either inside or outside the vehicle. The timer has a motor unit which rotates the visor and displays the time at the start of the timing period in response to the closing of the first switch(4) and stops the timer in response to the closing of the second switch. The clock is connected to a memory to store a value of the parking time.
