Fairground swing drive system - includes friction wheels driven by hydraulic motor and in contact during part of swing

The drive system for a large swing for e.g. a fairground, uses motor driven drive wheels which for at lest a part of each swinging movement have a friction contact with the swing basket. The drive wheels are driven by at least one hydraulic oil motor which during the beginning of the drive provides a special pre-determined revolution for each swing movement. During the contact period pressure devices force the drive wheel with a power which remains the same against the basket. In addition there is a pressure regulator controlling the revolutions of the drive wheels by limiting the oil pressure.
