Cam operated work transfer conveyor - has easily interchanged cam assembly to give different operational sequences

The conveyor for transferring workpieces from one work-station to another has claws or grabs (1) mounted on rails. The sequence of operations for opening and closing the claws and then raising or lowering the workpiece is controlled by three cams, mounted on a common shaft. Each cam has a follower which actuates levers to give the required motion of the grab. The cams and associated mechanism are fitted in a housing enabling the complete assembly to be replaced with a different set of cams when a different sequence of operations is required.
