The liner for a cardboard box or carton may be made of a rectangular blank of paper, plastics, cardboard etc., dependent on the contents of the carton. After folding, the linear can be stacked flat in a pile with others, suitable for loading onto an assembling machine ready for filling. The blank has fold lines giving four corners (16 to 19) each with a diagonal line so that each corner can be folded up into two triangular portions. Between each pair of corners is a rectangular panel (11 to 14) each attached to the side of a central rectangular panel (15). A further fold line (20) across this panel which then forms the bottom after folding, enables the base to be folded inwards for stacking.
