<p>The paper stacking system of the main patent has a support plate ( 4) on which the stack is supported between side sheets, and assisted by an air cushion. Under the plate is an air delivery tube (4) which branches out sideways at the top into two arms (5). Each arm discharges into a channel (7, 8) which communicates with a slot (12, 13) through the plate. Housed inside these channels is a belt (15) which passes around rollers (14). The belt has holes (16) through it, and a plate on the belt has a dumb-bell shaped slot across it. There is also a side entry for air at right angles to the slots which is adjusted in somychronism with the air discharge system.</p> |
