PURPOSE:To economize power for illumination and to reduce power consumed without changing the kinds of lamps, by lighting a high-tension discharge lamp, which lamp voltage is made higher than conventional lamps, by means of a lag type ballast stabilizer. CONSTITUTION:This lighting apparatus lights a high-tension discharge lamp such as a 400W high-tension mercury lamp, which lamp voltage is 145-180V especially, 150-170V, by means of a lag type ballast stabilizer, the secondary voltage of which lamp side is less than 200V. Since said lamps are lit by means of the lag type ballast stabilizers, the lamps by this invention can be lit as they are while attaching them to lighting apparatuses that the same kind of lamps have been lit, thus producing no unevenness of illuminance due to thinned-out lighting and no bad influences, etc. due to the change of the light color of lamps, then easily economizing the power consumed of the lighting apparatuses. |
