PURPOSE:To improve generality with simple connections among respective circuit components, by forming the main part of a microcomputer by building a counter circuit, a transfer control circuit and a shift register in the same semiconductor chip. CONSTITUTION:Counter circuit X uses a decimal counter composed of D type FFs FF1 to FF4 for one digit, transfer control circuit Y controlling the transfer of a signal to shift register Z connected to the next stage is connected to the output terminal for each bit of circuit X, and circuits X and Y and register Z are incorporated in the same semiconductor chip. Circuit Z counting sequentially clock signal CP inputted transfer its count contents with each bit parallel to register Z when start signal ST is supplied to circuit Y and register Z shifts them in sequence synchronizing them with shift pulses, thereby outputting them from output terminal P in series. |
