The plastic container(1) has a bottom and relatively rigid side walls(5). In one or more of the walls, or in a portion(7) connected with it, a press-in lip(8) is provided adjacent the upper rim (6) of the wall. Pressing this lip inwards produces a gap capable of receiving part of the flexible cover material(3) of the pack to be retained therein by the lip. The lip may be surrounded by a U-shaped gap. All or part of the gap may be provided with teeth. The lip may be in a downwardly extending skirt portion(7).
