<p>Discloses an improved precipitation process for hydrometallurgical process solutions wherein the precipitation of one precipitatable component in the presence of a nonprecipitatable component is carried out in two stages. In the first stage the bulk, but not all, of the precipitatable component is precipitated. The precipitate is then removed and a second precipitation is carried out to precipitate the balance of the precipitatable component. By operating in this way purer, less contaminated precipitates are obtained.</p> |
