A demountable garden or terrace chair comprises tubular metal side frames 1,2 which are releasably interconnected by a front bridging member 4 and a rear bridging member 5. The front member 4 is rigidly secured to a tubular metal seat frame 6 having rearwardly directed open tube ends and the rear member 5 to a tubular metal back frame 9 having forwardly directed open tube ends.
