<p>Guide member for preventing the insertion band (4) of a shuttleless weaving machine, in which the weft insertion takes place by means of insertion members (5) fastened to two flexible insertion bands (4), from being lifted off from the circumference of the band wheels (3) driving the insertion bands (4). Each guide member is formed by a flexible element, preferably a belt (14) or a rope, which is movable in oscillation synchronously with its associated insertion band (4) and which bears from outside, under prestress, against the insertion band (4). The belt (14) or rope can be of endless design and be driven by friction, or they can be a finite design and be fastened at one end to the band wheel (3) and at the other end to a driven pulley or drum. The guide member is highly wear-resistant and generates little heat and noise. <IMAGE></p> |
