The title compd. [I; R = H, halogen as F, Cl, Br, I, (C1-C3)alkyl, or (C1-C3) alkoxy as methoxy, ethoxy, R1 = (C1-C3) alkyl as methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, isopropyl, or phenyl , useful as immuno-suppressants, were prepd. by reaction of N-(6-hydroxybenzothiazol-2-yl)-N'-phenylurea with anhydrous products of propionic acid, isopropionic acid, butyric acid, isobutyric acid, or benzoic acid in the presence of pyridine.
