PURPOSE:To form an electrode plate having long overcharge life by containing alkali methaphosphate and/or alkali pyrophosphate in an active material, and by applying, impregnating, or filling the active material in a current collector. CONSTITUTION:An active material contains alkali methaphosphate and/or alkali pyrophosphate. A current collector is coated, impregnated, or filled with this active material. Active material paste having high fluidity with high paste density kept without reducing apparent density of the paste is obtained. An electrode plate having high conductivity, low dispersion of active material filling amount, low self discharge, and long overcharge-life can be obtained. |
