A fastening device for use in lightweight concrete, comprising two main parts, an anchoring portion 1 and an attachment screw 6. The anchoring portion 1, which is intended to be hammered into the concrete, consists of an essentially tubular section 2 and a slightly curved tongue 3. In the transitory area between the tubular section and the tongue notches 5 are provided to ensure that the tongue bends laterally when the anchoring portion is hammered into a bore 10 in the concrete. The attachment screw 6, having a pointed tip 8, is arranged to be inserted through the tubular section and screwed down to penetrate the laterally bent tongue 3, thus securing the anchoring portion safely in the concrete.
