<p>Washing machine of the type comprising a horizontal tunnel through which items to be washed are conveyed. Inside the tunnel the items are sprayed with washing liq. which drains to a tank below the tunnel to be recycled. The conveyor is of the overhead type passing longitudinally along the top of the tunnel. From the conveyor are suspended spaced carriers to which the itms can be temporarily attached to be transportd through the tunnel. Attachment is by means of a spring gap dor which automatically holds the item as it is inserted. Release of the dog is automatic at the discharge end of the tunnel. Used for washing, cleaning and sterilising equipment for re-use in food factories, in partic, washing curds draining screens used in the mfr. of cheese. very thorough cleaning is achieved without manual labour. As complete mechanisation for washing curds draining screens, etc., the machine can be installed in a continuous prodn. line.</p> |
