PURPOSE:For securing the fixation of freezing front, preventing the limitless development of soil freezing and improving safety, to use a quite different material (e.g. coarse grain sand) from tank-constructing ground as soil layer between an underground tank and a heat fence. CONSTITUTION:Numeral 1 denotes an undergound tank, 2 gound, 3 a heat fence, and 4 a quite different material from said ground i.e. a granular unfreezable material (e.g. coarse grain sand) which causes no ice crystal separation. Said sand 4 is filled between a landslide protection wall 5 set up on said ground 2 and said underground tank 1 after excavation is made down to said landslide protection wall 5 and said underground tank 1 is constructed. If the soil between said underground tank 1 and said heat fence 3 buried in said ground 2 is replaced with said unfreezable material, soil freezing can be kept limited so that the influence of the expansion pressure due to freezing can be reduced and said tank 1 can be improved in safety. |
