PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation in recording quality by using a tubular electric insulation type substrate. CONSTITUTION:The thermal head is constituted by forming a thin film heating resistor 22 and conductor 23 on a tubular electric insulation type substrate 21 of small heat conductivity such as glass, forsterite or other. Then, the heat flow flowing from the heating resistor 22 to the electric insulation type substrate 21 side is radiated by the convection of the air in the tube of the electric insulation type substrate 21, whereby the accumulation of the excess heat is prevented and the occurrence of problems degrading recording quality such as trailing and uneven densities is obviated. In addition, becoming poor of the rising of the temperature of the heating resistor 22 and decreasing of maximum ultimate temperature are obviated. |
