The building roofing slab is a one-piece casting simulating successive rows of tiles or slates (1a-h) offset in the horizontal and vertical directions. The vertical rows of simulated tiles form stepped edges in the same pattern as normal tiles, so that two adjacent slabs overlap where they fit alongside each other. The steps can be equivalent to half the tile pitch. Reinforcing ribs can be formed on the underside near the edges, and metal feet can be provided on the underside also, cast into the slab material, for securing to the rafters.
|
