<p>The turret (11) and machine tool-holder (10) assembly is secured by rapid action clamps (40, 41) and permits screw (20) in adjustment in the direction parallel to the turret axis. The turret may be vertical, its plane contact face incorporating a series of vertical grooves (15) of a uniform 'V' section. The holder has a complementary contact face, thus providing a guide during vertical displacement. The grooves may be identical with apex angles of 90 deg., and clamping may be effected by two strap-jaws (40, 41). One end of each jaw may be pinned to the holder with edge beads (42, 43) located in key-hole grooves (44, 45), the other ends by a forked coupling (46, 47) with a cammed connecting pin (E). Cotter pins (53) adjacent to the grooved interface may hold the jaws on the turret.</p> |
