<p>The guided missile has radially arranged jets to provide altitude control, with two groups of jets to achieve the best compromise between low weight of the jet engine and the gain of the servo control system. One group of jets is situated as far from the centre of gravity of the missile as possible and the second group is as near the centre of gravity as possible. This second group is arranged in three rows (C1-C3) around the circumference. Each set of three jets (10a;-10a3) which lie on the same longitudinal line are actuated through a common electronic switching circuit. This arrangement of jets results in a large gain in the servo control loop and a high phase margin.</p> |
