The blades (3, 4) of the nail clippers are provided with a resilient rubber coating (1) which closes the intermediate space (A) to form a temporary storage space for the nail clippings. The actual cutting edges of the blades are left free and the cover can be opened by a clasp or fastener (2) to allow emptying of the contents.
