<p>A settling device for granular solids in waste water, e.g. for gravel and sand in the residual water of mobile concrete mixers, consists of a hweeled chassis with a tiltable settling tank. A perforated intermediate bottom is underlain by a compartment to which pressurised water can be introduced. This effects a precleansing of coarse particles, from the residual water, so that the settling basins need only deal with the finest suspensions and require cleaning less often.</p> |
